Last year, I didnt manage to put any of my cili padi to crop, so I was glad that the seeds still managed to sprout. In fact, I left them in the airing cupboard and forgot all about them, hence they were a little leggy to begin with. But with some sunshine and care, they seem to be doing fine just now. The plan this year is to try to harden them and grow them outside, so fingers crossed that it will be a good summer with lots of warmth.

Growing okras

This year, other than growing the usual chilli and because I now have a garden, I will attempt to grow other fruit and vegetables. First up is Okras, I was surprised that the seeds started to sprout just after 3 days, they are now 2 weeks old and starting to grow their second set of leaves...fingers crossed that they will survive!

Hermoine's Hat
This fabulous pattern came from JL Yarnworks, do check her site out. Although the actual Hermoine's (from Harry Potter, need I say it?) hat was grey in colour, I used white as that was what I had handy. Most hat patterns that I've tried always turned out to be 'wrong' for the size of my head which is in between the usual adult and child size but this one fit great so I might just splash out and get proper yarn and make another one!

Mary Jane Booties
These Mary Jane Booties are so cute! So when Yee's baby girl Rachel arrived, out came the knitting needles and there they were in no time at all ... in fact I should have finished earlier but I was multi-tasking and got distracted by the tv and made 2 left booties!
The finished product! cute, right?

Starting point..... Half way, gets exciting when you see some shape developing!
