Iris Folded Rocking Horse

Hi! Janice here. This was a little card that my mother and I made for our little birthday girl Emily turning 1 this year. This is an iris fold Horse pattern. The template was taken from http://www.circleofcrafters.com/ which features many types of creative crafts like Iris Folding and Card Making! The first time I made an iris fold pattern was for art class. It was a project where we had to go to seaside so I made some Iris Folds with help from my mum.

Hermoine's Hat

This fabulous pattern came from JL Yarnworks, do check her site out. Although the actual Hermoine's (from Harry Potter, need I say it?) hat was grey in colour, I used white as that was what I had handy. Most hat patterns that I've tried always turned out to be 'wrong' for the size of my head which is in between the usual adult and child size but this one fit great so I might just splash out and get proper yarn and make another one!

Cushion Covers

Oppose to what most people think, cushion covers are easy to make and not worth the price charged for a ready made one. I made these to match the curtains for the living room. The pattern used is a simple no frills one with hidden zips.

Light Weight Sweater part 1

This is one which is a long time in the making, a long sleeved sweater for myself...this is one of the bigger projects that I have going... I'm onto to the sleeves at the moment but it is hard going as my fingers don't feel like knitting and want to be doing something else!

Mary Jane Booties

These Mary Jane Booties are so cute! So when Yee's baby girl Rachel arrived, out came the knitting needles and there they were in no time at all ... in fact I should have finished earlier but I was multi-tasking and got distracted by the tv and made 2 left booties!

The finished product! cute, right?

Starting point..... Half way, gets exciting when you see some shape developing!

Sunflowers in a row

Embroidered sunflowers on a felted cushion. There is nothing sunnier than a row of sun flowers...you could almost smell the happy!

Booties

Baby booties for Nana's firstborn. I made two pairs of booties, one crochetted and another knitted. Just enough time for a photo and off they go to France before baby gets too big for them!
